GoGolfandTravel.com Reviews
Swing Catalyst By Initial Force AS

In the past few years, GoGolfandTravel.com has become more and more involved with providing reviews about different kinds of golf and travel products. When we discovered the Swing Catalyst was available, we did some research and decided to provide our readers with a review.

What we discovered is something we feel almost any golfer interested in improving their game will be interested in this FREE application for your iPhone. Upfront, let me tell you this app is not yet available for the android phone, only the iPhone and iPad. Your iPad will need to have the iOS7 or later to run the program. Go to the Apple Store and you can download the upgrade for free. I would highly suspect that most golfers have one or the other and probably both.

In speaking with several of our teaching professionals, we discovered they were very familiar with the app and most use it in one form or the other. From the teaching aspect, they prefer using the iPad because of the screen size. In our testing, we came to the same conclusion. Yes, if you have an iPhone, you will want it on your cell for the convenience.

Here are some of the features of the Swing Catalyst that we found most helpful:
- Capture swings in full HD
- Playback in slow motion speed and frame-by-frame
- Multiple drawing tools
- Analyze videos frame by frame
- Compare two videos
- Synchronize two videos for a more effective evaluation
- Download free tour swings
- Share videos with other Swing Catalyst users and instructors
- Upload to cloud storage for secure backup
- Download and view Swing Catalyst video lessons
- Sign up and log in with your Facebook profile

Even before your download the app, let us encourage you to go online and watch the six (6) Swing Catalyst App tutorials that will walk you step-by-step on how to use the application.

Unless you are working with your golf teaching professional or wanting to show the world how great your swing has improved, I’m not sure you’ll want to put your “work in progress” on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. However, this feature is available and I highly suspect that many golf instructors will use these social media platforms to generate more business.

To prepare for this review, my wife and I took the iPhone and played 9-holes late one afternoon to get a feel for the app. There was no one behind us, so we could take our time and use the app for what it is intended…improve our game and/or show us what we are doing right or wrong. Obviously, you can take the app to the driving/practice range and do the same thing. However, being on the course under actual playing conditions, it seemed to help us both in fine tuning our swing…be it drive, fairway woods or irons.

Conclusion:
This is a great app and costs nothing. It is simple to use and most helpful in seeing what you are doing right and wrong. It allows you to capture videos to compare where you were and where you are now. It also allows you to compare your swing to some for the best golf professionals. This is the perfect tool to use with your golf teaching professional. You can view over and over, what you have been taught. Yes, it will take time, but all good things in life will take time to perfect. We are told that the android version will be release soon…no specific date has been announced.
