RECOGNIZED ONCE AGAIN AS THE BEST
IN TRAVEL ON CONDÉ NAST TRAVELER’S “GOLD LIST”
GREENSBORO, GA – For the fourth year, The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation has been named to Condé Nast Traveler’s prestigious Gold List, their annual compendium of the “The World’s Best Places To Stay.” Based on data collected from the annual Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Poll, The Lodge lands on the prestigious list of 151 U.S. resorts and hotels listed on the Gold List in their January 2010 issue, with an overall ranking of 86.5.
The editors of Condé Nast Traveler have called this poll “the most rigorous appraisal you will find. Across the world - in cities and on islands, in resorts and in hotels, at sea and in the air - the quality of the travel experience has risen to new heights. The competition is intense.”
Approximately 25,000 subscribers voted in this year’s Reader’s Choice Poll and the results were derived from readers’ comments as well as interviews of readers by the magazine’s editors. The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation received a rating of 88.6 for Rooms, 89.7 for Service, 83.8 for Food/Dining, 79.1 for Location, 88.1 for Overall Design and 89.6 for Activities. The magazine notes that The Lodge is “located on former hunting grounds on Lake Oconee,” and that the rooms are decorated with “mahogany furniture, feather beds and marble baths.” The resort’s signature restaurant Georgia’s Bistro is referenced, as is Gaby’s by the Lake as “the spot for barbecue pork nachos.”
