VENTURE GALLERIES:

The New Travel Vision Of Venture Galleries
Venture Galleries has been established as a new publishing house that showcases the American travel scene with fine art and books. The new Website, venturegalleries.com, has been launched on September 12, and its goal is to create a new concept for travelers searching for intriguing ways to learn more about the scenic, historic, and recreational areas of the country.
Caleb Pirtle III, founding partner of Venture Galleries, is former travel editor for Southern Living Magazine, a screenwriter with three motion picture and TV movie credits, and the author of more than 55 published books. Attorney and author Stephen Woodfin is in charge of Gallivant Press, the book imprint of Venture Galleries. Rusty Shelton of Shelton Interactive heads up the promotion, publicity, and marketing arm of the company. Shelton and his firm developed the branding and marketing for the “Chicken Soup for the Soul Series,” as well as 40 other best sellers.
Pirtle points out, “Venture Galleries is exactly what its name implies. The venture – with art and words – explores travel through America, from coast to coast, from border to border. Venture Galleries will offer a new line of books aimed at the traveler and has built an online fine art gallery for both photographs and paintings that capture the beauty and the heritage of the American landscape.”
Headlining the Art across America series are such award-winning artists as FCEtier, J Gerald Crawford, John Sedgwick, Bill Ervin, John English, Mark DeMos, Catherine Marshall, Judy Helderman, Annette Hanna, and Jeanne Bridges.
The Sports in Travel gallery features the nationally acclaimed works of Rick Rush, the 2011 Sports Artist of the Year. His paintings cover the full spectrum of American Sports from professional and college football, basketball, and baseball to the Kentucky Derby and professional golf.
According to Woodfin, Gallivant Press will be introducing a new genre in the publishing industry – the travel novel. He says, “We are featuring eBooks and both hardback and paperback books written by top-quality authors who know how to develop real page-turners set in American cities, both large and small. And we are producing a line of eBooks that contain photographs of key locations within the novels, as well as an “afterword” that provides information for readers who might want to take their own personal excursions to those locations where some of the most dramatic scenes in the novels take place.”
Gallivant Press will also be producing travel books, travel cookbooks, books for the business traveler, and books for the road – mystery, suspense, legal thrillers, romance, sports, humor, inspirational, historical fiction and non-fiction – that travelers can easily carry along in their eReading devices during vacations.
The venturegalleries.com Website will feature numerous and ever-changing blogs written by and about a growing cadre of artists and authors whose creative works are represented by the publishing house. In addition, travelers will be given an opportunity to publish their own vacation experiences, photographs, and travel recipes on the Website.
